Hey i was just wondering if any of yall hand gun owners out there are shooting glocks in .45 acp. I am thinking about purchasing one soon and was just curious how well they shoot? I have shot glocks in .40 cal and i liked how it shot, but i am looking for a .45 acp. My dad and i reload .45 so ammo will be cheap.

I do not own one but have shot many with the officers that I know. They are a nice Hand gun and a fine caliber!

I own two Glock .40s They shoot similiar to the Glock .45If you can reload as much .45 ammo as you want Go for it

I've got a Glock 21 that I have had for years and I trust my life to it. It is reliable and I shoot quite well with it. It is one tough pistol.

However.

You mention you reload. You cannot use lead non-jacketed bullets in a Glock. I also wouldn't use personal or commercial reloads in a Glock. It is just asking for potentially devastating problems. Glock even warns against this (or did). I won't go into all of the technical reasons here since there is a webpage that explains it better than I can:
http://www.thegunzone.com/glock/glock-kb-faq.html

Not to discourage you from buying one though. I have one and LOVE it. There are some things you need to know about them before you purchase and start shooting with one.

If your looking to shoot "CHEAP" you may want to look into a HIPOINT 45.. I bought the 9mm three years ago and have had nothing but a blast with this handy cheap little shooter. I bought the brand new 9mm for 136.00 yes under 150.00.
I have shot no less than 1500 rounds with this gun and have never had it jam or fail. THEY HAVE A LIFETIME WARRENTY, you send it in they fix it or send you a new one. Only down side is the breaking down and cleaning. It cant happen easily... So I use the air hose and a good can of gun cleaner. If I was an officer of the law I would not rely on hipoint, Glock would be my choice. But for fun how can you beat a 136.00 dollar gun that is brand new and nice looking.. check out there web page. www.mkssupply.com
