I used to live in vermont and have seen two moose, one was a big bull.We had this moose in northern vermont which made national news when he was trying to mate with the cow.Everyday the moose would be there trying to find a way into the gate, kinda reminds ya of mans greatest goal doesn't it?

I'm happy to report that I have witnessed some pretty cool animal sightings.
Saw a doe chase off three coyotes in some snow. Snow was going everywhere.
Many, many, many, many, many close elk encounters and many more distant sightings. Had a calf come within less than a foot of me while I was in a ground blind. Walked up on a couple of new born calfs hiding in the grass. I arrowed a bull in the chest at 12 feet Called in a heard of elk that had 6 bulls in it. We saw 5 of them and heard the 6th one. All were within 40 yards of us. My buddy arrowed the biggest one. I couldn't count the number of bulls I've seen tearing up trees and brush with their antlers. Watched a spike bull down in a meadow run around some brush one way then he would go the other way and then the other way and so on for about 5 minutes. Saw lots of young elk playing and sliding on snow.
Seen a few bull moose tear up some trees. Called in and have had many close moose encounters.
Watched a mountain loin for 45 minutes stalk three mulie bucks and then try and pounce on one. The lion failed.
Watched many male elk and deer spare. (deer vs. deer and elk vs. elk)
Had a bear come within 18 feet of me while I was standing on a small forest service bridge. He didn't even know I was there until he was headed away from me and I ran up behind him. Scared the crap out of him! Watched a bear back up to a tree and scratch his back using his hind legs to push himself up and down. That was pretty cool to watch.
I've shot a nice bull elk and a couple of bucks as they rose out of their beds. Some people say (those that don't hunt) that it wasn't sporting to do that but the fact is it's very sporting and takes some luck and some stealth.
Saw a coyote leaving the scene of one of my buck kills with a front leg in his mouth.
Saw a snake with a lizard half burried in it's mouth.
etc, etc, etc. Oh yeah, while on an Arizona deer hunt I had a fox come and sit about 8 feet away from me. He knew I was there and we just watched each other for a couple of minutes.

well the deer are so tame up at our cottage cause people aren't allowed to hunt them there and everyone feeds them. last weekend i was walking back to our cottage from the neighbors and i walked by this doe about 5 feet from me and i looked behind and she was following me. well she followed me for about 40 yards and got back to the cottage and she stood at the feeder and watched me when i was going in the cottage so i looked back and there was no feed so i gave the begger some feed and she was happy i got a good pic of her on my phone.

checksixs, used to live in bennington(s.w. corner)but partied in burlington alot.Quads are big with hunters and there used to be(haven't been back in awhile) alot of state owned forest which you could ride on,which, come to think of,used to be most of the state.Vermont is nice country but the jobs are scarce and the winters are cold and long especially if you dont ski...
