Is that the stuff that has different flavors like apple, corn, etc? The only time that could possibly really work effectively would be in the earlier part of the season when deer are still going to food sources like clockwork. Just set up by a food source, whether it be crops or mast (acorns, hickory nuts, etc.) and you'll get the same, if not much better effect in the early fall. Don't waste your money on it.

I used apple flavor and put it right next to a soybean field where I have been seeing a few deer. I'm the only one that hunts this spot and I know it holds deer. I placed it about 10 yards from a deer trail. I raked back the leaves and poured it on the ground like the instructions said.

I tried that stuff last year up here in wisconsin with mixed results. I used it during the early season next to a field with no success. I had the apple flavor and set up on the edge of a corn field. I had numerous deer walk right by without even smelling it. I think they had the corn field in their mind. I had the most success during late season when there was snow on the ground. I placed some of that goop all over branches as high as I could get it so the wind would take it and I had deer on their hind legs trying to get at it, quite a sight. IMO I would put a little out to use like a cover scent because that stuff is strong.
