What's the roof made of? I had one with a metal roof on it briefly. First rain made me try something else. Real nice looking stand though. Hopefully you'll be able to stay warm in it.

Oh, I see it's tin.

OkieDude, tell the stolen buck story, I gotta know.

I'll post some pics of ours later tomorrow. Muzzle-loading season starts tomorrow.

On my own land in NW Minnesota, I have several stands; some up high on telephone poles, and others just a seat and a place to stand. I know some seasons I sure am glad to have a stand that I can get inside and close it up tight. No heaters, yet though!!! All the windows slide quietly, so that isn't as much a problem as being quick enough to get a shot off. However; out here on the left coast I hunt public land, so I have to just hunker down by a rock or bush. It works, and gets you closer to nature so you can hear better, but also lets your scent get picked up easier. This year I was able to get a nice buck in the first hour of opening day. I live in an upper class neighborhood in "The OC", so I did get some funny looks from my neighbors when I skinned it out, but most of them don't talk to me anyway.

where at in NW minnesota you got land? and yeah it is very nice to get out of the elements cause a person doesn't know if it will be raining or snowing here that time of year but at least i get a 16 day season this year so i can really take my time and try to pick off that perfect deer.

i know where grygla is i sat in diamonds a couple times. you ever see any elk when you are deer hunting? our hunting land is northwest of warroad about 8 miles about 2 miles from the canadian border. i actually work with one guy from grygla and i used to work with a bunch from there. one of my co-workers from thief river falls they hunt in foretown. heard it is good hunting down that way.

I have never seen elk while deer hunting, but my land is in the elk hunting zone. It is good hunting; every one always fills at least one tag.

The first time my wife and I went to look at the land before we bought it, we saw two bear on it. That clinched it for me!!!
