Default Shoot/No-Shoot

Ok so its the last minute push before deer season and for numerous reason I had way to many firearms to get on paper. I managed to get out today and spend most of the day getting stuff dialed in. Then this target presented itself, I tell you it was a hard decision to make!!!!! MMMM were should I send this 300 grain 44 cal bullet at 1700 fps. You make the call.

Grouse Killer #1

Grouse Killer #2

That is one very tempting shot. He could do a disappearing act with my 40 gr. ballistic tips from my .223.

I'd kill that cat and not lose a wink of sleep over it. I like cats and have them myself but stray cats and feral cats are enormously destructive to wildlife. There are studies out there that put the numbers of songbirds that domestic cats kill in the hundreds of millions a year! Any cat seen outside running around loose should be shot on sight. I killed one not too long ago that was stalking my quail covey that was out eating grit on my lane. Seen another one tonight when I came home. I'll kill him tomorrow if I see him.

I'am the same way Captn, I have dropped more then I can count, and I live in town. .22 shorts are perfect. I use a scope, and if I see any tags, I will let it go. Dont want to kill lil Suzie's pet.... again. I'd go for the second pic. Looks like he's still on the move in the first shot. Got a good broadside shot on a stationary target in the second pic. Kinda like making a little noise to get a buck to stop grazing and look up while you have your sights on him
