can't wait till this weekend.deer season starts down here in south Texas. i will be going this weekend down to Cotulla. i will let you guys know how i do.

Rifle opens November 19th can't wait!

 

Our rifle opens the same day here also...runs for 2 weeks. We moved a couple of stands today. Love to hunt out of them, but a pain to move. We didnt see much sign....it has been way to warm...it was 75 degrees here today when it sould have been about 55.

 

Yeah, the weather thing is getting a little ridiculous. I'm ready for it to snow, and we're having thunderstorms.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] Anyhow, I'm going turkey and squirrel hunting on thursday, but that's only holding me over until rifle. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Our Muzzleloader opens one week before rifle. Rifle opens Nov.19th and runs till Jan. 31. I'm gonna smokepole hunt all day the 18th, and rifle hunt all day the 19th, thats my plans for that weekend. Doe days runs from Oct. 15th(bow) till Jan 7th. Then you can kill does with a muzzle loader till the end of the season.

I dont see how yall do it with two weeks of rifle season. Our rifle seanson runs two and half MONTHS.

 

Yea, well you guys need two months to kill enough deer to add up to just one of our brusiers. Only thing I cant ever get one in front of me, just his little brother.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Yeah, a 200lbs deer is big down here.

well no luck this weekend. it was 88 degrees on saturday,way to hot to deer hunt. saw a nice 10 point but couldn't get a good shot. saw a hog or 2 but i will hold off for those guys. i counted about 15 cotton tails, better luck next weekend i hope
