I've got an Auto-Ordnance 1911, I've got about seven diffrent mags for it even a couple of 10rd Eagle Int. mags. All 1911 .45 auto frames use the standered mags. I think the only diffrence in an Officers mod is barrel length(shorter).
Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong

Officer Model mags hold 6 or 7. It really depends on the manufacturer and what spring and follower is used. The actual mag body or tube is the same length. I had a Colt Defender ( basically an Officers Model with a shorter 3" cone barrel) and the factory Colt mag was 6 rds and the Wilson Combat mag held 7. Same size mag except for the rubber base pad on the Wilson.
You can still use a 1911 8 or 10 rd mag in the Officer too. Just sticks out of the bottom a ways. I carried my Defender with the flush 7 rd Wilson mag in it and a Wilson 8 rd std mag as a backup.
