yes the weather up here was to warm for the last week of deer hunting ! the first week was cool then a shinook blew in
and thats just the way we do it i ! dont know any better !why not? it cools off better !and as for hair you just get out the hose and rince it out if you get any in there has any one got a pic of a deer not opened up so far ror me to see.
and thank for the coments it was a great trip we shot them in the Halfway area north of fsj

RV, from the pictures, I can see why you want to open it up and get the heat out of it.
Myself< I work from the other end back. Hang em by the hind legs (tendons), and peel the hide off as fast as I can get it off. After all thats the critters insulation.....I usually only cut them up to the sternum, when I gut them, and after I got them hanging I peel them down to the sternum and then "tube" them from there (just keep going around in circles til I have it peeled to the ears.....
I am also set up where I can run a winch cable through a block (up in the rafters of my carport) and winch them up in the air. Once peeled then I lay the garden hose to it and wash out any contaminants (Blood, hair, dirt etc etc) and then off to the butcher shop for it to have a sleepover.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
