my AC tbx comes set up with a 2" receiver, the eiger only came with a flat bar for a tow ball, fixed that with an aftermarket item from gander mtn, bolts on in the ball position but allows a 2" reciever to be used, by MAD DOG around $35

I made a dual purpose attachment similar to the ones mentioned above but with a couple of small bolts to prevent rotation. The stock hitch on my Outlander has sides that extend down and would interfere with a pin type hitch. I thought about a receiver but I didn't want the ball cantilevered out so far. I have a picture of it in my gallery.

One of those holes is a 1.5" D shape, difficult to achieve in a typical home workshop.

That hole does not need to Be cut like it is to accept a Cleavis hook It can be a round hole. In fact I wrap my chain and hook around the ball when pulling logs with my 4x4 truck.
