Default Rino 450

As you may remember I was looking at a 4x2 Cub Cadet utility. It was suggested I look at a Rino. I did and it's not bad. How well does it climb hills and how is the ride. This is not for log climbing or fast stuff. My back would never hold up.

I don't know about the smaller engined 450s but I know the guys that have the larger engined Rhino 660s around here love the things. Ride a lot better than Kawasaki Mules on rough ground and can go more places a lot easier. Seeing more and more of them around. It's got independent suspension and a locking front differential so I would bet that Rhino would ride prety nice for you and go anywhere you would dare to take it. Make sure you get a winch with it though. You get one of those stuck and brother, it is indeed stuck.

Thanks Capt. I'll check them out. Since I'm 68, I'm past the days of trying to get them stuck. I just want some comfort getting from here to there and hauling hunting dear. I don't want my hunting days to be over until I'm ready to push up daises.
Peeknuckle. PS. I'm glad to see you people don't do any trash talk like some forums.

The Rhino 450 is fairly new. I don't know anyone that has one. The Rhino 660 is a great ride for sure. I gather from the magazines that the 450 is basically the same as the 660, but with a smaller engine.

You would probably get more response from this if you posted it in the Yamaha or RTU/RTV forums.

I do not know of anyone who has a 450, but I know a couple people who have 660's. They love them. I rode in the one guys, and it rode awsome, it was extremely comfortable. My grandfather is also looking into getting a something like the Rino for yardwork and light trail riding. If you get a 450, let us know how you like it.

The shocks on the Rhino are pre-load adjustable so you should be able to adjust them for a really smooth and cushy ride. Should work out great for your type of application. Probably work out much better than one of the more utility oriented machines like a Kawasaki Mule or a Cub Cadet or even a JD Gator. The pure utility machines that I have driven or ridden in rode really rough especially once you left a lawn or gravel road and got into the woods. The Rhino is much better for getting out in the woods.

The 450 or 660 should do you fine.
