Looking for a work horse ATV
#1
I have been looking at the grizzly and saw the KQ.
I will be using my ATV for a work horse, I am going to put a Swisher atachment blade and bucket for starters. I have a 98 wolverine 350 now and use it to pull a small trailer with a gen, air and welder, we also drag our property with it, but would like to get something that can do more work.. I may even put a 3 point atachment on the rear in time.
Any good imput on the units I am looing at or any I have not looked at? I am looking for something that is not confusing for my wife to use. We live in southern AZ and the ground is hard as a rock or slippery in the rains with red clay
My wife thought I was nuts buying an ATV for working on our 4 acres with the horses, but now I can not get HER off my toy.
It is a good time to upgrade as long as she is into using it also.

Don,
I also needed a workhorse and ended up with the Bombardier Traxter. It has never disapointed me but it may be more machine than you need. From my experience, when you get into the three point systems you should avoid the belt drive machines if you are pulling implements for long distances. The belts get too hot and fail prematurely.
From what I understand, Bombardier doesn't offer the Traxter through its regular dealers anymore. Instead you will need to see a John Deere dealer. I think it is now sold as the "Buck" rather than the Traxter.

id have to pop a ditto on the traxter model with the pickup bed- now a deere ext, think the bomb model was an xt[i almost had a new noncurrent 04 for $4200 otd, would have been a steal}, missed that and ended up with a AC 400tbx [05 for $200 more, brand new]. both of these machines are "workhorse" units based on the tilting pickup bed feature[which also adds to rear weight carrying capacity], they are large, stable and maybe even a little on the heavy side ,but i really like mine as a worker[carry a miller gen/welder in mine[@#320], machine doesnt miss a beat]......
