i will be taking my new 800 this year to colorado besides the enclosed gun scabbard and warm clothes what does everyone take on the atv that you might need.from leaving home on the trailor to using riding to retreving game and no winch yet next year

 

My first suggestion would be a winch, but as you state thats for next year. Soooo I would get yourself some aircraft cable ( say 200ft ) and form it into varying lengths ( say a 10 ft, 20, 50ft etc etc) . 2 pulley blocks may come in handy should you need to winch out big game, or your atv when it hangs up on a log or in a mud hole. Add a good quality come-a-long to round out your inexpensive winching system. Depending how cheap you want to go I would add some sort of duffle bag/storage system for carrying a set of dry clothes, your winching system, snacks and other hunting supplies( knifes,plastic bags,ammo , first aid kit etc) . SOme bungy cords will always come in handy, again various lengths. Depending how far you intend to go off road on your hunt you may consider a small 2.5gal gas can and maybe a tire patching kit as well. For $100 or so you should be good to go.
