Fish story!!!
#1
Yes i know that this is a section about hunting but....me and the wife had a great day of early fall chinook fishing yesterday and i thought i would share. We got in the water at about 7:30 am and actually started fishing at about 7:45 and only (five minutes) into the trip i had a bright 20lb fall chinook on and landed it .My wife usually will catch a bigger fish than i do when we go and yesterday was no exception and she ended up with a 30lb chinook which was one of the hardest fighting examples of a chinook that we have ever caught. For those of you who have never caught a fall chinook i would suggest giving it a try if you have a run in your area because typically they are a very hard fighting fish and also one of the best you can eat as well.We only saw one other net out yesterday so we feel fortunate to have landed these two fish. For anyone who would know where i am talking about we were on the Siuslaw. These chinook were caught on my home made spinners and that makes it even more rewarding.
