Our archery season opened on Sept 15th, on Sept 16th I shot a 6pnt (3x3) that I thought was an 8pnt (4x4). It does not have any brow tines (eye gaurds) but is about 16" wide. I should have let it go and maybe it would live to be bigger, but when I first saw it I thought it was bigger. I made up my mind to take a shot, drew my bow, picked a spot and released. Perfect shot threw the lungs. It ran about 20-25 yards and just stood there for about 3 minutes, then did the nose dive. Now, I gotta thin the doe heard a little before rifle season starts.
