Default anyone get a new deer rifle?

Hey that is cool. I am a BAR man for life now. I just got back from the range and she is perfect at 200 yards I just bought this gun at the end of last season when we moved back to MN from Alaska. While in Alaska I used (and still have) a BAR .300 I just wanted something a little lighter for MN as I won't be shooting any moose or caribou down here, but I wanted a flat shooting gun that was accurate. The .270 WSM it was Good luck to you as well.

I bought a 7WSM as well, mine is a Winchester M70 Coyote. It's their heavier barrel stainless rig. Real mild recoil with the extra weight. It's topped with a Nikon 4.5-14 mil-dot Buckmaster. It seems to like 150 gr Barnes Tripple Shocks in front of 67.3 grains of H4831SC, most groups under 1 inch, best right at 3/8. I also got a Stealth in .308, to have a long range rig that won't eat barrels, it's a tack driver, many groups under 1/2. Too dang heavy to pack it though.

I bought the 7WSM for elk, but don't have time to rifle hunt them this year (building a house), I spent my time out in archery season...no luck. Hope to blood the rifle on deer next month, I've seen a bunch around my place this year.

I bought myself the Remington 700 BDL 30-06 last year. Then mounted the bushnell elite 4200 on top of it. I absolutely love this gun. And if you are in the market for bino's i would recommend the bushnell elites also, thats what I use and they are great. I have had them in every weather condition possible and they never let me down.

Here's what I found to be a very accurate and effective .308 Win. load for Pennsylvania white tail:
39 grain IMR 4895, 180 grain sp Hornaday, CCI 2oo primer. This was shot in a .308 Vohre, Shakar. Good hunting albe
