i don't understand the idea of camo... in NY you have to wear a percentage of blaze orange... so how would camo help, other then getting you shot at?</end quote></div>
Personally I like it just because it hides scratches better. That and I just like my ATV to blend in a little better for when I'm out. If someone is looking for something to steal they won't see it sticking out quite so easily.
A family member out in Colorado has problems with people, animal rights loons mostly, vandalizing vehicles and equipment on his ranch and setting fire to crops and buildings. Being able to have an ATV blend in with the surrounding landscape is extremely useful. The people out looking for something to damage or looking to see where you happen to be can't pick the camo ATV out as easily as they could his red and blue ones.

because the animals recognize your movements less if you "blend" in.
even colorblind animals. they are less likely to recognize you in camo(which will appear to them as a dark or mixed shade.) than they are in other things.

oh, wow yea, never thought of it like that... i always thought is was just the color... but yea, blending in with the proper pattern would be good... color doesn't matter, it's the pattern... wow, that was more obvious then i thought...

not only that, but in ny you are required to where a certain percentage of blaze orange! but only when you are dear hunting with firearms, but if you are predator or turkey hunting you are not required, or if you are bowhunting for whitetails, wich while I do hunt with my shotgun and rifle I am also a very advid bowhunter! and where I hunt it is awful nice to have your quad close by!
