The point is! Training! And being born with natural abilities,is a plus...I went through basic with people that had a natural ability to soldier, and others that will never make it.A Ghilly suit doesn't make a shooter, neither did it for hathcock.Reading his bio doesn't tell the real hathcock story. He was stealth personafied.

Good points from all, Natural ability can be considered allot of things, if you are a guy who trips over his own feet and is bound to hit any trip wire within a 50 ft. radius, stick to a line company. But pretty much anyone that is somewhat stable in the agility department and has some patience can make the suit work for them in their advantage and if it is done right, they can disappear right before your eyes. the game wardens in the highlands of scottland new what they were doing, I knew this fact, I was simply stating that the military perfected it. if you read my earlier post I stated that whitefeather perfected the art of sniping to include feild craft.
his death a few years ago was a serious loss to not only the Marines (SEMPER FI) and our heritage but to the sniping community in a whole.

Come on now, guys. Is anyone <u>really</u> born with the ability or instinct to hunt? I didn't have the ability to hold my big fat head up, or crawl, let alone hunt. My only instinct was to cry until I got a nipple. Some people can hunt and some can't, but I don't think that's already determined at birth.

Trust in me when I tell you this, I have been and have had many friends on bolth sides of the scope!</end quote></div>
I see your 84 yrs old,and was in the battle of "Tarawa",my compliments to your bravery.

Just because you couldn't find the milk bottle, doesn't mean all humans fall into your rank of being cottled while a youngster.Ghilly suits or a tool like any other, and natural surroundings(smell) etc. aid in hunting.Hathcock new this, and thats why he was so good. Shooting targets @ 1000yds(which he could do easily) is not the same as taking out an adversary, which is the most dangerous game.Hathcock was a very serious hunter(man or beast). He was very adapt at using his surroundings for cover.

There's a difference between a 6 year old and a newborn. I could do lots of things at six years old that I couldn't when I was a baby. We aren't born with those abilities, just the potential to do them later IMO. Maybe Native Americans are born with something everyone else isn't, but I find it hard to believe. Being fed when you're a baby is being coddled either. It's just normal parenting. You can't expect a newborn to survive on their own.

The point,is not 6 years old,but the ability to learn to hunt at that age, most kids or still looking at cartoons, blooded people(natives) or hunters and gatherers.I still hunt today and I don't use any camo from any of the suppliers.I make my own, from natural surroundings.Just remember, movement is your biggest enemy, ask any turkey hunter.

your comment as to me being 84 well, where you deducted that is beyond me! maybe it is the fact that I am very well versed in military history, or maybe because in my upbringing after "I found the bottle" I did some reading at six before I was allowed to go out in the woods, or as it seems to be your fight for everything, MAYBE IT'S JUST HERITAGE.

I didn't see anything that would indicate you're 84 either HUNTER. Or that you were in the Battle of Tarawa, for that matter. I thought maybe it was true but I wasn't born with any magical ability to figure it out.
