Last fall I purchased a used Charles Daly Field 3" 20Ga. autolodading shotgun. I was excited till I got it home and it wouldnt cycle 3 inch shotshells. I have used it only for rabbit huntin, as its short, light, and easy to carry. It also wont cycle 2 3/4 inch dove loads. you can load shells as normal, and manually cycle the action, and it will fire, but the old shell wont cycle, and you have to cylcle the action by hand. The only thing i have found that it will cycle reliably is 2 3/4 high brass #4 heavy field loads. Since thats what i rabbit hunt with i havnt given it much thought, but i would like to function like it is supposed to.
Its all been cleaned including the gas ports. The O ring seems tight, and as far as i know the gun is assembled correctly.
If anyone has any experiance with Charles Daly autoloaders, or any suggestions to fix the problem, please let me know.

It looks kind of like a Remington in pictures, but I guess it doesn't work like one. There's a Charles Daly forum you can ask your question at. http://www.charlesdalyforum.co...87d35d375da032eeb6&f=6
DRTV is a good place to ask any gun questions. http://www.downrange.tv/forum/ There's no shotgun section there but Tactical Rifle & Carbine is close enough. Lots of good people and good info there too.
