Size: 36.2 KB Well Boys, our smoke pole deer huntin season is Oct 21 and 22. I put out the camera to see what is movin out there, not much. After 3 days I only got two pictures of deer, 5 minutes apart.
1 ,, 2, and a owl wing.
I only will shoot a deer if I can hit both lungs, so I have to set up my spot so I can do that. I set up my feeder to let them know where it is and hoping it will attract a heard by the time the season starts. As you can see I blocked the rear so they have to come in on the sides. It's bout 100 feet from my blind. I'll redo the blind in a few months so it will fit in better. I'll bug spray it tomorrow, I hate ticks. Name: RAtinybuckL.gif

Guess I'm just Old School because I do not believe in Baiting deer in with feeders. I was raised and taught to look for good signs such a scrapes, trails and bedding areas.

Mornin papahouse,
I understand what your sayin bout "to look for good signs such a scrapes, trails and bedding areas". I do the same to find out where the deer are moving. Then set up a feeder to make sure they will be there come hunting season. Hunting is not a game to me, I hunt to fill the freezer.

I personally don't have problems with putting feeders out. It's no different to me than hunting at the edges of a farmer's field.
