Mounting a CB Radio?

Sorry I can't help ya with this one, but you might send Minehunter a message over in the AC forum-I know he's into cb's and HAM radios, and I believe he's got one mounted to his 'Cat. I'm sure he could tell ya the best way to go about it for the best reception. I thought about this myself, but just never followed through.

For best results, mount the antenna as high as practical, and to something metal. What works is to use truck mirror mounts on the handlebars. Mirror mounts are designed to clamp onto the metal tubular frame found on the mirrors of big trucks, and most will clamp right onto your bars, or one of the tubes of a steel rack.
Another option is to use a hand-held CB in a GPS holder. You can use a remote microphone if necessary. Most have a jack for 12V power in, so you can use the ATV to power it. Best of all, when you start walking, all you have to do is pop in the batteries, and start walking.

Have you looked at www.ram-mount.com as they manufacture some excellent mounts for everything from firearms to spot lights to CB Radios to Laptops...
