Are you saying 21K American dollars!!!??? If so, I need to start shipping bikes to Europe! That's insane, import fees can;t be that expensive.

Sorry. Its 21 K Marks. But 1 Mark is same in Europe than 1$ in the US, so no matter if 21K$ for you Americans or or 21K Marks for us.

Yes, its the exchange which makes it that kinda expensive, the toll (22% and 16 % sales tax in Germany, 20 ´% in Austria and 25 % in Sweden.

Forgot the shipping. Thats quite expensive too. (Airfreight from US to Germany or Italy)

A 1500 Dodge RAM costs 130000 Marks and thats the same like it would cost 130000 $ for you.

To compare: A small house on the countryside is between 700 and 900000, in a big city its twice.

Holy Sheeeummmmmmm, Yeah, WHAT! Damn, that is crazy! Do you guys get paid very well over there to afford that kind of thing, or how does that work? Man, I'm REALLY sorry for you now-the riding bit is bad enough, but now this-man, how do you stand it??? The country sure looks nice from the pictures you sent, but man, after hearing that, there is NO WAY I would want to live over there!

Man, Best of Luck to ya Martin, I hope you're able to manage OK, those prices are incredible. Oh, just to answer your earlier post about the price of an SP500-I saw I believe in another thread where an SP500 went for around $5,500 though I don't remember if that was the HO or not. Other prices for the SPHO are around $5,800 I think???? That $130,000 for the Dodge Ram 1500 would buy you a nice house in some places over here. Jeesh, and I thought things were expensive here....

Best of Luck Man,

Mike

Yes, its a mess over here, but be awáre of the fact that Germany is still the cheapest country in (western)Europe:

gas in England for example costs 30 % more than in Germany and in Norway its twice.

A pint of beer in Norway is easily between 10 and 16 bucks and 1 apple costs in northern Norway 4 bucks.

Well, people in europe earn more, but its not that much more tan in the US. So after paying rent and food there is nothing left for the toys you guys have (ATV, snowmobiles ....)

Rent for a small appartment with 3 rooms costs on the countyside 1600 and in Munich for example 2990. Very few people in Germany are homeowners because there is no way to save money. A insurance for a bike is 1900 a year, and to make a driving license you must attend a school for a couple of months and it costs 4-5 K.

in Sweden own 90 % of people a house in Germany just 26% . 96% of the total money in Germany is owned by 4 % of the people.

Rich people become more rich, poor ones become very poor.

Well, I was living in Sweden, Germany, Norway, Iceland, California and some other places:

CA is very expensive too, but there are other reasons to be in Europe: Less crime, good social welfare (;-)and benefits and a good healthcare system. And last but not least: No rattlesnakes, less bugs, and more rain. I hate deserts and all the sand between my teeth, and I dislike a Californian stampeede of Ants through my kitchen or a rotten snake in my AC.

BTW: I pay 1800 a month for my personal insurance package . same costs in Bitish Columbia, 45 CAN$.

You should come for a visit, .....europe is at least as nice than US and it ll take you for ever to see everything. But you must bring big pockets and bags filled with money!

Have a nice day!

Martin

Howdy... you seem to know about ATV plows.
I have a 90 4x4 Big Bear and am looking for a plow.
someone i know has a plow to fit a 225 or 250 from 1988... thinks it is a cycle country... got any idea if this would fit up with no modifications to my machine?
thanks for any help you can provide..
