Has anyone used an ATV Hitch Haul?????
#1
I am considering buying an ATV Hitch Haul out of Cabelas, but I wanted to hear someone else's opinion first. I will be using it to haul animals on trap line, and decoys when duck hunting. I have a Hitch Hopper 2" receiver on my 2001 Sp 500 HO. I know the tongue weight is rated at like 35 lbs., but I would guess the hauler would weigh about a third of that, and one decent bobcat weighs 35 pounds. How much is too much tongue weight, and are these haulers built to last? Thanks for your input.

I've got a rack that I purchased from Cabelas that looks like the std. one you see behind most cars/trucks. May or may not be the 'hitch hauler' and fits into the 2" reciever on my Sportsman. We tested it by me standing on the quad normally and my buddy who's BIG also jumping up and down violently for about 20 seconds. Realizing that his weight telescoped out that far really increases the load on the rear, I figured we'd break SOMETHING....... Simply reset the shocks and never been worse for wear. Some will try to tell you different, but these rigs can haul a load(I probably would set my rear shocks accordingly).
