Default gun boots?

What is the best way to carry your rifle while on your fourwheeler? Looking at the Kolpin Gun Boots. Is there anyone who has used the newest version that has the liner that will come out with the rifle?

I know about the "forked" carriers that mount on the front racks, handle bars, rear racks. I need something to keep the gun clean while on the dirt roads.

My way may not keep the whole rifle clean, but it holds it in place.Simply sit on the atv, lift your belly and place the rifle between your waist and gut,Then allow your gut fall down and hold the rifle.lol

You anywhere near Rocket,TX.

Default gun boots?

After the supper I had tonight of Mexican food, I may just have enough belly to let it hang over the gun.
I don't know where Rocket is. I am in East Texas.

Default gun boots?

I already have the old style boot and a soft case, so when I heard about those new 2-piece boots, I tried slipping the gun and soft case into the boot and it works! Now I can use the soft case in the truck, and just slip the whole thing into the boot and I'm ready to go. The gun used to bounce around too much in the boot, but now its snug and padded. I love it! I pop the top off the boot, zip the soft case open about a foot and the gun slips right in or out.
I'd say go for the 2-piece, but if its real expensive you can make your own set like I did.
When the bike is all covered in mud and crap, it's nice to pull out a clean, dry gun!
