I need advice on possibly why my spark isnt sparking and how to take off the carb

the carb is on by two x screws take them out the put the carb should pop out with some force and the spark could be just the spark plug or the electrical going to it i have a 250 and took it all apart so i no how to take the carb out just not the spark problem
