Just picked up a Polaris trail boss (pre 90 i think) for free, need some work and doesn't quite run yet but once i figure out what year and engine it has ill get it going and see how much i like it.

But im joining the forums to learn more about them and see if anyone can help me with decoding the 7 digit vin and i cant seem to find alonger one anywhere else.

 

how did you make a post i can not figure it out but to keep with the new the site i have had a 97 banshee trx 300ex which just got stoling and need to get a new one asap

Welcome to the forums.

Should be the 250 2 stroke motor in there. Post the VIN question over in the Polaris section and you'll get the answer on that. I do know they changed the way the VIN was coded in the late 90's I think.

Free is the best price.

 

I'm guessing you either figured it out, or just got lucky 5 times.
