Plug check
#1
Hello all i'm new here and have a question that has probably been answered before but ill get my feet wet with it. I have a stock 300ex. The air filter was shot so i bought a K&N for it. While i was there i also bought a new plug. Didn't change any jets or anything. Ran the bike until it got good and warm ( about 15 or 20 minutes) and did a plug check. Plug was way white so instead of blowing the thing up i put the old filter back on until i get a jet kit. Checked again and plug was good. My question is how long dose it take a new plug to burn in to give an accurate reading ? was it the newness wearing off or was it truly lean ?

Welcome to the forums.
Wouldn't think just changing to a K&N would make it change that much. Usually if you change the filter and put on a pipe, you would need to rejet.
Take a look over in the Honda section and see what kind of response you get there. Pretty sure they'll have you set up in not time at all.
