Default new here! 1986 Honda 250R TRX

Hey guys new to the forum here. mainly joined on getting advice and just to talk about bikes and share experiences like others im sure. glad i found a decent looking forum. i ride a 1986 honda 250r TRX on the oregon coast. all it has done is a little port and fullbore black plastics, with nerf bars, and a CT pipe and silencer. so i came here for advice on a big bore kit and some suspension setups ( a-arms, shocks, swingarm, etc). so we will see if it works out as i planned lol

If you go to a 330 or bigger I think you will need to machine the cases. I would personally go 310 with some radical portwork for topend, and a 39mm airstruker carb. v-force 3 reeds and an esr topend pipe. P.S. welcome to the forum good to see another 2 stroker

Yeah im a 2 stroke junkie. Love em. not saying 4 strokes are bad....id just never own one. i got a car already. dont want to have to mess with valves and whatnot like i already do on my drag car lol.

Idk im looking for people or anyone that has experience with ESR 330PV or 370PV or 370 non PV. I just want to know if its a reliable kit. i understand always going bigger means you break more often....sometimes. But i just want a massive motor and i hear ALL of ESR's big bore kits are pretty damn solid. just curious if anyone has personal experience with either of the two.

Thanks!

Done right you're not going to have any more problems than a normal 2 stroke, just keep it on the rich side and have an inline coolant temp. gauge.

The only thing that bums me out about having an 86 250R is they dont make the aftermarket ESR motor mounts for it for some reason. Was gonna repaint my frame and get all there blue billet parts. question, anyone know what site i can get some good aftermarket footpegs from? im completely rebuilding my bike from the ground up after laborday weekend this year. Thanks
