I'M NEW TO THE FORUM, BUT PRETTY SAVY ON THE 2003 POLARIS SORTSMAN 600 AND 500 H.O., AS I HAVE BOTH. ONLY ONE LITTLE THING; AS I ATTEMPTED TO PULL PIN FROM THE FLOAT, THE CASTING BROKE, HA,HA!! TO THE TUNE OF $400.00+ FOR A NEW CARB. NOT A CHANCE! LOOKING FOR A 2003 600 CARB. HELP!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forums.

Ebay is probably gonna be the cheapest route. May check the craigslist ads in your area. Might find one with a blown motor. Be a little more expensive than just the carb, but think of all extra parts you'll have.

Use some brake cleaner to remove the fuel residue, then try JB Weld or a high temp approved epoxy to repair the casting--you basically have nothing to lose by trying. There have been posts of people using JB Weld to fix cracks and holes in engine cases, and carbs do not see the temp/pressure of an engine.
