Alright I just signed up. Looking to see what is the best Sport ATV for a beginner. I'm looking to spend no more than like $7,500. What do you guys think?

Hello, welcome to the forum.
There are a few sport quads in the 250cc-300cc class that might be a good place to start. Enough power to move an adult but not so much power you're likely to get thrown. Honda has the trx250 and trx300, CanAm has the ds250, and Yamaha has the Raptor 250 and 350.

I'd say depends on your size. If your very tall/big at all anything in that 200cc-300cc is awful small. The 250 Raptor's are (IMO) some of the best true sports bikes in that size but, WAY to small for most adults.

If you know and respect your limits I'd jump straight to a 400cc for sure. Zuki or Honda. You'll get adequate power. If you want more power you can throw on a good exhaust and gain enough to make it fun for quite awhile longer.

Thanks for the welcome guys..

I'm 6' 1" and about 185, so I think I'm wanting something a little bigger. I've not ridden ATV's all that much but I'm 26 and rather mature, so I hope that wanting something bigger isn't a bad idea. I've been looking heavily at the KTM 525 xc, or the Raptor 700r..

Ha, is that a horrible idea?

Well, those sure aren't beginner quads haha! If you think you'll be chasing the power dragon than you have 2 choices. Go for one of those machine's and BE CAREFUL. Don't let your pride out weigh your skill! Or you can do as I did and go buy an old used 400ex for $2000 or so. They are solid machines. Make good power and great to learn on. They are tons of fun too. Wheelie monsters. Then once you get itchy sell and upgrade.
