counter balance drain screw

counter balance drain screw
I just bought a 1997 polaris 400 L sportsman. I went to service the atv and the counter balance drain screw broke. I managed to get the broken bolt out. I have been looking for a replacement bolt and cant find one anywhere. The bolt has a hole in it running the whole length of the threads. Does anyone know of where I can find a replacement bolt or if I could use a regular bolt with no internal hole. I would appreciate any help possible, thanks
