I take possession of the machine early next week! My next problem is figuring out transport to my house. Looks like I'll be investing in some loading ramps to put it in the back of the pickup for now! Any suggestions?

Default Ramps

When I got my 2005 Polaris 400 Sportsman I had a Dodge Dakota Quad cab. My dealer had 8 ft aluminum ramps that were arched with safety cables. I paid $150 for the set. They are a lot better than the folding ramps. They work great. Not sure of the brand name. My Atv fit in my Dakota bed with the tailgate. Enjoy your new Atv. Most manufactures offer a free ATV safety course. Great class for new Atv riders.

Was there a $100 in rewards for taking it? Hopefully you have hills to ride in your training. In eastern Kentucky you should have plenty. I rode a trail system there called black mountain some where close to there.

You rode trails here? Do you mean Blacktail Mountain? It's about a 30 minute drive from me. If that's where you're talking about, that was most likely the Wild Bill OHV trails, which are fun in a truck too, I should mention. Because I take a ton of pictures of just about everything, here's a quick shot of my 05 Silverado getting stuck on part of the Wild Bill trail:

They have a small course set up down the road from the dealership that I am taking it at. And yes, they gave me a great deal yesterday including a bit off for taking the course.

Default Black Mountain

Sorry the trails we rode were in Harlan County Kentucky. Cool truck I have a 2001 Dakota 4x4. Don't think I can take it off road. Most if our Atv rides are at Hatfield McCoy in WV. The class is worth it. Enjoy let me know how it goes.
