New Member from Northern Wisconsin
Hello all, I am howie12 from Northern Wisconsin, vy the shores of Gitchee Gumee.
I have an old 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 that I bought new and it is my primary plow machine in the winter and the ATV I ride in the summer when expecting a rough traill. I also have a 2007 Honda Rancher with electric shift and the water cooled and FI 420 cc engine which is the every day ride of choice u less on the BMW or Harley motorcycle.
The Polaris is a great snow plower and a great ride when it works but it has had its share of problems needing a warrnty fix on the water pump, a new drive clutch after chipmunks filled it with acorns, a rebuilt driven clutch due to bearing failure and a new speedometer/control module. IT is now broken again with no apparent spark but more diagnostics necessary.
The Honda is great because it is quiet and can be shfted to keep engine RPMs down when wanting to cruise gently. Its repair hostory so far is decent with only a voltage regulator needed in about 3500 miles.
Anyhow, found y way here when searching for info on the Polaris spark problem and was impressed by the technical savvy of some of the posts. Frankly was unimpressed by the grammar skills of some others, but that is not my purpose here.
All the best
