New Rider, New Member, Long time Lurker...

Hey Guys,
Great site and community.
Spent a long time lurking the boards here and finally decided to pull the trigger, buy a new bike and sign up.
Grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia with an amazing Honda Foreman 450s. Bike was unstoppable (at least to me at the tender age of 16 it sure was). The bike was my fathers but I gladly beat the snot out of it for him. A fe buddies a few months back decided they wanted to get out of racing cars (ungodly expensive and requires a lot of wrench time) and buy ATV's. They all went with Honda's (logical choice if you're tired of wrenching) and then I caught the bug.
At first I was looking at used bikes but nothing tickled my fancy. Went to the dealer and in 30 minutes bought a 2013 Foreman TRX500 FM. I am a true believer in the KISS methodology. Both in racing and in life. Keep it simple and it wont give you as many headaches.
Anyways, got some time on the trials this weekend. Wanted to introduce myself and see what you all thought about my newbie ideas...

Wanted to remove the crappy 2-ply stock tires. Although I do enjoy the mud I know from experience that the Silverbacks are terrible in the snow and are unstable at times during trail riding. Very much considering the Bear Claws, a nice lift kit and perhaps some skid plating.
Any recommendations, thoughts, questions are welcome. I am new and could use all your experience.
Chao for now.
