I've gone to numerous trails here in KS (in fact, I've taken a good number of the pics on that last site) and am looking for people to ride with too. Topeka is pretty much as far east as I go however. In the trails category, look for trails in KS subject that I started with reviews.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. Turns out they have a few good rides already scheduled over the next few months, so I'm going to try to meet up as the weather gets a little warmer.

Yeah, they don't seem too concerned with the cold. Looks like they like to frequent that Soggy Bottoms place, I might try it if they have a meet up closer to summer. I might be willing to meet up with you at the two trails closest to Topeka sometime too. I know it's a bit of a drive, but I think you'd like the trail in Hutchinson along the river.

 

Sounds good- I'm willing to drive. Have to go where the gettin' is good, right! I'm going to try to make the 1/24 poker run at Soggy Bottoms, but if it's white out, I'm out. Not afraid of snow or the cold, but a Raptor in the snow is as good as a sports car in the winter. Spring is right around the corner though, so I'm sure more events will pop up.

 

Snow don't bother me, but the cold does. I have a blood condition that even when it's above freezing my hands ache kinda bad if I'm out in it for very long, especially if I'm out riding and I even have ski-type gloves on that should be warm.

I know KS doesn't compare to other state's trails like CO, UT, or WV, but I think we make due with what there is. I'm hoping to go with a group to CO this summer actually, but I haven't heard from them since Sept.
