1991 Polaris trailboss 250..Need help!
Hi, I'm new to this forum. My 91' trailboss 250 has trouble starting..but once started it runs great. When I take out the plug and pull 10 times and get the gas out and put it back in it will try to start but it won't quite go.. After that I undo the springs holding the manifold on. I take the manifold off and pull it a few times and It will start. Once it's started I put the manifold back on and it still runs great.. I feel this is to much work to start it and there must be something wrong. Please help!

Welcome .. Sounds like you're flooding the crank case from a worn/sticking float needle. Probably time for a carb kit that includes a new needle and seat.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Trail-Boss-250-1989-1990-1991-1992-1993-Carb-Kit-/400644377894?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d48440d26&vxp=mtrPlus not a bad idea to check compression also. If lower than 115 psi, carb kit may not help.
