In all the answers about setting the timing chain properly on this machine, everyone says to be sure the engine is on TDC on the compression stroke. How do I know if it is or not? The piston reaches TDC twice on each cycle, and I understand that both valves are closed on the compression cycle, but setting the valves is what I am trying to do, so I can't use this criteria. Does the machine spark on only the compression stroke?
