fuel leak when running

Default fuel leak when running

I have a 2001 sportsman 500 that has small fuel leak but only when it's running I originally thought float maybe Needler seat but that doesn't make sense that it only leaks while it's running it's got me scratching my heabe
d and now I'm thinking maybe fuel pump any thoughts would be great

Welcome to the forums..They all dribble a little bit at an idle with this carb.Best to have the drain/over flow hose go past the bash plate and not on the engine. Hard to set the float right on these,but look at this post on the BST40 carb similar to yours.Can give you a better understanding on this float system. The BST-40 Bible | Adventure Rider
