Hey Y'all
Hey, my name is Dee, I am a Juvenile Probation Officer from Georgia. I love hitting the woods and mud every chance I get. Call it "mud therapy", Born and raised in Georgia, we do most of our riding at Top Trails in Alabama. Have an Igloo we rent yearly, just a great place to get away. When I am not behind the badge I spend my time being creative and different. My 2007 400ex when finished will be as good to look at as she is to haul butt up a mountain side. I do not believe that you have to trash something to get enjoyment from it. Looking forward to meeting everyone and reading the posts. After I get the new one home I am sure I will be posting for advice since she runs but won't go into gear.

Hello from Colorado: I can tell you love the outdoors and this ATV hobby will help you enjoy it even more. I hope you enjoy mechanics as much as the mud. ATVs need something done to them quite a bit of the time. I agree with you, a machine that is ridden sensibly will last longer and cause less trouble than one that gets trashed. There are a lot of technical participants on these forums that enjoy helping others get their machines back on the trail.

Hey David, You are very correct on taking care of your machine. We keep our machines cleaned after every ride and make sure everything works properly before every ride.YouTube has provided a lot of information. Bringing home a 1986 Honda 200sx tomorrow. She will not go into gear and she has sat with no oil, really anxious to get started on bring her back to life. Hope to see you around. Will post more when she gets home. Good advice is a valuable asset.

I have a before and after trail ride checklist too. Who wants a stuck throttle cable while riding? Or a 4wd solenoid that won't operate? Or a cut tire.
You will enjoy bringing that old Honda back to trail riding. I went riding with a fella that had an old 87 Honda. It was solid axle chain drive. But he went everywhere we did. I think it was a Fourtrax.
