New member here looking forward to gaining some information on ATV's, I am a prior owner of a couple of Suzuki King Quads but have been out of the ATV market for 10 years, and it is time to get one for hunting and trail riding purposes. I appreciate any insight that you guys can offer.

 

Welcome from Colorado: You are way ahead of me. I've only be in the ATV hobby 1 year. I do enjoy riding and working on my ATV. You have more experience than me. The participants in these Forums helped me select the right ATV for my stated needs. I think they will help you too.

The ATV market is substantial with all kinds of engine sizes and features. You like to hunt and trail ride. You will need some cargo capacity for your hear and 4wd to get you back to your truck. I winch would be handy at times too. Several manufacturers offer "hunter's editions" with camouflage and rife cases. One like that may save you money over buying the stuff you need as an accessory.

I researched the Polaris Sportsman, Can Am Outlander, and Textron Off Road Alterra. Yamaha makes a good machine too as well as many others.
