Hi guys, I'm new to this group. I bought myself a nice raptor for $1700. Its basically stock except for the FMF slip on. I am soon going to be stationed at Ft Irwin Cali which is out in the Mojave desert. I'm wondering what mods I can do to make it faster, and have better suspension. I don't really have a budget but I don't want to go crazy with it either. I am a pretty good fabricator and I know how to S tick MIG and TIG weld.
Here is my list of mods I'm considering: New trans gears Clutch kit Rod 13:1 CR piston (maybe less) port & polished 700 head (still need it cleared up if this just bolts on or if it needs a 700 jug) Big bore kit (still unsure, depends on cylinder condition) widen and lower bike.
Extend the swing arm 4 inches
Thoughts??
ps Sorry I realized just now I wasn't really supposed to ask for help in this section. can and will move if its a problem.
