Default Reverse is a pain

hey, my 04raptor 359mis extremely hard to get in reverse, only happened after I lowered idle as it was too high. After I tried to adjust c,Utah cable to make sure that it was disengaging properly but it didn’t work. Do I need to increase idle or is something wrong because before I adjusted idle it was hard too just not as much??

Typically, it's the other way around, idle too high, makes hard to shift. At least with my Cats. How does it shift with motor shut off?

With the engine off, it shifts from reverse back into gear just fine. Nice and smooth, I could do it all day
