Default Battery doesn't fit under the seat

I recently got a purple yamaha blaster that I think is a 93 but the battery I got for it doesn't fit into the compartment under the seat. Did I get the year wrong?

Welcome to the forums.

What battery number did you get? From 1989 to 2001 I show they all took a 14AH-BS.

Hadn't worked on one of these before. Did some checking and they don't come with a battery. It's a kick start. If someone did add a battery, they had a lot of other work the should have been done to it as well.

I saw where people did do it. Just seemed like an awful lot of work.

No idea why they would show a battery compatible for it.
