meerkat 50cc with approximate 200hrs died while at idle
runs a few seconds then dies -restarts then dies, cant use choke to keep running, throttle push kills it immediately
Changed with new: carb,cdi,magneto/pickup assm, voltage regulator,

I had the same problem with my Meerkat 50 resurrection for a while, changed the same parts you did, in the end I checked the valve clearances (very roughly as I didn't have a proper feeler gauge at the time), turned out the valves were never quite shutting fully. Loosed off the rockers and retightened them so that I could 'just' feel the slightest touch of clearance on the compression stroke. Ran fine after that. I heard in a pinch, a coke can is made of metal about 4 thou thick, can be used as the roughest of feeler gauges..
