Hi I am the FNG 97 HELP Scrambler 500
Machine= 97 Scrambler 500.
Hi all-- I am the F'ing new guy. SO my son and I have been riding together for the past 8 years and I have been riding since I was a kid also. I have an issue with my Scrambler 500 and do not look forward to taking it to the shop. So yesterday we were pulling sleds behind the machine and stopped to take a break. I fired the bike back up like normal. put it in reverse. Stopped pushed the 4 wheel drive button went forward and it started clicking/clunking from somewhere in the bottom front. It does not do this at idle or while reving the engine... It also does not make this sound when moving in reverse. only when you move forward. It also does not matter whether it is in 4 wheel or two wheel drive. Any advice would be great. The engine on this machine is dang near perfect and every thing works as it should, But my boy noticed about a week ago that the (what I would call drivers side front) wheel was not fully disengaging out of 4wheel drive unless he reversed or got on it a bit. I do not know if that is related or not.
Any help would be appreciated.
