Default please help a newbie v-force owner out

Hi,
I am just getting into quads. My dad picked up a kawasaki 700 v-force the other day. I was wondering what kind of things i can do to make it quicker. He said he took it to the dunes the other day and got beat pretty badly so now we have the urge for more power.

He said he wants to get a dual exhaust for it that we saw in a magazine. Anyone know of a website i can order one on? What kind of products do you reccomend. I am good at tuning cars but have no experience with quads. What kind of other things could we get to make it quicker. Also need a website for some good paddle tires.

Thanks for the help

There are several companies making duals now ... this is the one I chose

HMF Duals

If you change the exhaust, change the jets, and open up the air box a bit ... you will gain
about 7 hp. Very noticable.

If your dad is going to ride it in the dunes (sand) the most important mod that you first have to do is change the tires. It doesn't matter how many engine mods you do if you have no traction it's all in vain. You need to look into some real beefy paddles, sand sharks or something along those lines. I never ride in the sand so I don't know sand tires, however there are many guys here that could help you with that. Tires first then other mods for the sand!!!!

ok thanks a lot guys. We are going to order the dual exhaust and some nice paddle tires. When you say open up the box is that the air box that holds the air filter? What do i do just slightly crack the box open?

also please explain to me what "jets" are. Someone said to change the jets.

thanks for the help

The jets are inside of your carbs. they regulate your gas. As for the air box they are saying cut holes in the top of your black air box lid ... where the air filter sits.

This will help you out a lot!!!---- Go to nyroc's website and look around. Lots of good info.
