Default Red Spring & Holeshot

For those of you who have the Red Spring installed and are getting the DG Holeshot module, are you going to remove the red spring when you install the module? Does anyone know at what RPM the red spring engages?

I was planning on removing my red spring prior to installing the holeshot module. I did not find enough benefits of the red spring to warrent keeping it. It is manageable ect but wasn't nearly as smooth as the original.

I pulled out the red spring and put in a Dalton plain/white stripe spring. The EPI red engaged at about 1800 RPM and the Dalton runs at about 1500-1600 RPM's, stock is about 1300. Put in the Dalton or the stock spring when you get the Holeshot module, if you don't like the engagement of the red spring.

I have the module and the red spring installed and don't mind the engagement at all.
