Default V-Force oil light?

I was out riding in the woods yesterday... played in a shallow creek for a little while... rode trails, etc. I noticed the oil light was very very dimly lit. I mean barely! But as RPMs / speed on the V-Force increased... the light got brighter. Upon slowing down, it nearly went out. A friend of mine insists that if the oil light was "on" it would be BRIGHTLY light, and remain constant. Later in the day after it sat for a few minutes, I started it up and took it down the road.... no light on at all, not even dimly. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe something got wet? I'm thinking about taking it in to the dealership....

Yes, I checked the oil! As a matter of fact, the oil and filter have just been changed. I'm at a loss..

Default V-Force oil light?

The other day a friend rode his v-force with me when and we got into some serious mud/water. The v-force got stuck a bunch of times. We both had mud caked in our radiators and fans running a lot. His oil light and maybe one more light came on , on the v-force. The oil level was fine as was the quad, it was just getting really hot due to the radiator caking, and since then it's fine. Could you have dirtied yours?

Was doing some deep creek crossings due to the flooding around here and had the same problem as you. I Checked everything and it was fine. But then i though of my bros Grizzly. On occasion the posi limiter would kick in even in 2wd. So after hours of testing we found the culprate. Siliconed up the connector on the sensor on the diff and no more probs. I tried this with the sensor for the oil pressure on the force and it worked. No more oil light probs.

The oil lamp circuit is most likely getting wet, and shorting. That would explain why it is OK, after you let it sit (dry out)overnite.

Thanks for the replies.... I think I'll pick up some silicon and try to seal that sensor real good. Then again, by this time tomorrow I may just be riding on a new Prairie 650 (soooo close to buying one)... so I can keep my V-Force dry!

That's what I did to keep my 700 dry. Check the sig. You won't regret having both 650 and 700 for toys.
