Default stuck in 4wd????

Hey, I was out mudding yesterday with the prairie 650 and was in pretty deep water and giving her and when I looked down I noticed it said 2wd but I was in 4wd and all four tires were spinning so I got out and then the 4wd light was on so I selected 2wd but it would not leave 4wd and the 4wd light stayed on. Now today the 2wd light will come on after quite a while of having 2wd selected but it is still in 4wd and when I select 4wd the 4wd light will come on in the average amount of time. Also I did get some water in my clutch system if that makes a difference and there is lots of grass wound around my front 3 drive shafts. So any help is appreciated thanks in advance guys. I did a search but came up empty handed so I hope you guys can help. Later, Seth Fehr

Default stuck in 4wd????

The actuator controller senses speed, forward/reverse, rear wheel spin in relation to front, position of 2wd/4wd switch, etc.. It will not switch into 4wd unless it determines all the nessesary criteria is being met. Even then there seems to be a certain amount of lag from the time you feel the 4wd engage and the dash actually lights up. I have noticed with mine that sometimes engagement is quick and other times it seems to take forever. I just assumed that this was normal and the nature of the beast. I know that this probably doesn't answer your question very well but maybe you'll feel better knowing others experience the same symptoms.
