Default Is the dealer full of crap?

I have been reading posts and other documents minus the service manual for my 03 Prairie 650 on what to do for jetting. I have stock jetting and am installing the DG snorkel and going to do the NYROC muffler mod. My problem is I am going out to the Black Hills of SD (5000ft.) so I called a dealer in Rapid City and he said I shouldn't have to adjust anything until above 6000ft. I have the feeling that this isn't going to give me the optimum performance but just get me by.
Can you help me decide what to do? Offer any opinions. Should I get the Dynojet needle and replace the mains? Maybe I should perform the mods and set it up for my area (1000ft) and then take my chances. Any ideas????? Anyone ever ridden out there or from out there?

Thanks!

With the snorkel and muff mod, you will flow alot more air, so at that elevation you would normally be rich with stock jet's, with the snorkel and muff mod, stock jet's will be fine at 5000-6000 ft, when you get back to say under 2000 ft, get the stock jet's out and go one size richer than stock or you may be lean.......
