I always use tire patch glue. It's cheap and works great and dries fast!

The "old" motorcyclists used to use Aqua Net hair spray... I got some of the wifes "nasty stiff" hair spray, when I installed my Scott grips last year... when wet, it helped them slide on easier... over the last year they've held up pretty good, & it's nearly time to replace them again...Have A GREAT Day, Go Four Wheel'in !!!!! Got a KDX 200. I used Scott's grip glue - bought it at the dealer. Works great but was a bitch to get the grips on (with or without glue on them), so I used gasoline to help them slip on - not sure what the gas did to the glue - hopefully it will last just as long. What do you guys use as a wetting agent to get the grips to slide on? Saw a couple threads that mentioned hairspray - but on a bike, I'd be afraid of the grips slipping off and wrecking me. Also, super glue is not a good idea because when you get it stuck to your skin, water will break it down so you can get loose, and although you wouldn't expect water to get between your grips and the bars, not a chance I'm willing to take.
